All open-minded and curious people are welcome in the Flamboyance research circle. We know that people from different ethnicities, races, educational backgrounds, religious beliefs, sexual orientations, immigration histories, ableness, and gender identities make our lab community better at science, and frankly, a more fun place to work. We are all stronger and our impact larger when we embrace our differences and move forward together; recognizing always that different people have different needs, goals, and definitions of success. We believe in “seeing” all people, especially those often marginalized by society.

All efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive community within and beyond our group are highly valued as part of the Flamboyance culture. We are committed to fighting entrenched racism, sexism, homophobia and other injustices. And to rejecting all forms of unjust intolerance within our lab, our research, and the larger community.
