The Machine Learning Department excitedly hosted our first in-person EMERGE (rEsearch in progress MachinE leaRninG mEeting) August 11, 2022, with speakers Edward Cutler (Patient Advocate) and Ruwani Fernando (Applied Post Doc Fellow) The presentations were amazing, and we enjoyed spending time together as a team!

The Machine Learning Department excitedly hosted an in-person EMERGE (rEsearch in progress MachinE leaRninG mEeting) on October 20, 2022, with speaker Thanh Duong (Graduate Research Student) in Thieu Lab. Thanh discussed the Natural Language Processing Applications to Cancer Research.

We were honored to have two of our secondary faculty present at the December 12, 2022 meeting of EMERGE (rEsearch in progress MachinE leaRninG mEeting) in the Machine Learning Department.

Dr. Les Folio presented on the topic of: The latest and greatest ML enterprise imaging research (make annotations great again) and Dr. Marilyn Bui spoke to us about the importance of pathology and its 3rd revolution thanks to AI.
