Moffitt Cancer Center strives to ensure that patients who enroll on clinical trials are representative of the populations served at the cancer center and broader catchment area. As such, the “Advancing Clinical Trials: Working through Outreach, Navigation and Digitally Enabled Referral and Recruitment Strategies” (ACT WONDER2S) research initiative seeks to fulfill Moffitt's commitment to quality healthcare for all.
Funded by the National Cancer Institute and part of the CUSP2CT network, the goal of the ACT WONDER2S study is to increase referral and enrollment of patients to therapeutic clinical trials at Moffitt by developing and implementing a comprehensive multi-level intervention that includes digital and community components deployed in the community and within Moffitt.
Since September 2024, the digital tools and educational efforts have been deployed in certain counties across Florida. After a two-year period, our team will examine whether this approach enhances referral and participation of diverse communities in cancer clinical trials.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about the ACT WONDER2S study!
