Christine Vinci, PhD
Dr. Christine Vinci is a principal co-investigator for Project DART. She is an associate member at the Tobacco Research and Intervention Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Her research focuses on understanding smoking cessation and decreasing alcohol use for the development and modification of treatment interventions.
Thomas Brandon, PhD
Dr. Thomas Brandon is a principal co-investigator of Project DART. He is the Director of the Tobacco Research and Intervention Program and the Department of Health Outcomes and Behaviors at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also a professor of Psychology and Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida. His research focuses on tobacco relapse and relapse prevention.
Karen Obremski Brandon, PhD
Dr. Karen Obremski Brandon is a Research Scientist at the Tobacco Research and Intervention Program. She contributes to projects on self-help for smoking cessation, health disparities in smoking treatments, and e-cigarettes.
Laura Hernandez, B.A.
Laura Hernandez is a Research Coordinator at Moffitt Cancer Center’s Tobacco Research and Intervention Program and recently graduated from of the University of South Florida with honors, where she majored in Psychology and minored in Public Health. Laura has worked in multiple research labs and has experiences in various health-related environments.
Leslie Sawyer, B.S.
Leslie Sawyer is a graduate student in the doctoral program in clinical psychology at the University of South Florida, working under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas Brandon. Her research and clinical interests are broadly geared toward elucidation of behavioral processes that promote or attenuate substance misuse, including processes that correlate with improved treatment outcomes. She is particularly interested in smoking cessation treatments that are informed by theories of learning and behavior.
Rachel Sauls is a Research Intern in Dr. Vinci’s Lab at Moffitt Cancer Center’s Tobacco Research and Intervention Program. She is currently an undergraduate at the University of South Florida majoring in Psychology and Biomedical Sciences. Rachel wants to pursue an MD PhD in Neuropsychology in hopes of furthering her career in research and the medical field.
Danielle Simon is a Research Intern in Dr. Christine Vinci's lab at Moffitt Cancer Center's Tobacco Research and Intervention Program. She is currently an undergraduate student in her senior year at the University of South Florida. Danielle is majoring in psychology and hopes to pursue a career in neuropsychology after graduate school.
