Our research focuses on the development of statistical methods and computational tools for large-scale genomics and proteomics data. We are particularly interested in 1) developing statistical methods to incorporate multiple data sources, select biologically relevant markers, and predict clinical outcomes in an integrated manner, 2) devising novel statistics to quantify multi-scale and nonlinear correlation, which cannot be detected using traditional linear methods, and 3) developing visual analytics to understand tumor heterogeneity and optimize therapeutic strategies for cancer patients using single cell-level datasets.
The lab is currently looking for a post-doctoral fellow in developing statistical methods and/or computational tools for analyzing single cell data. If interested, please send CV and cover letter to Dr. Ann Chen.
